Hilb acquires Virginia brokers

The Hilb Group announced Tuesday it has acquired Virginia-based Easley Hedrick Insurance & Financial.

Terms of the transaction, which became effective July 1, were not disclosed.

Easley Hedrick, based in Mechanicsville, Virginia, has additional offices around the state. It has roughly 30 employees, according to its website.

Agency Principals Suter Easley and Brandon Hedrick and their employees will join Hilb Group’s Mid-Atlantic regional operations, Hilb’s statement said Tuesday.

In a separate statement, Hilb said Tuesday it had acquired another Virginia-based broker, Ryan Harris Insurance and Financial Services Inc., also effective July 1.

Ryan Harris is based in Salem and has additional locations in Southwest Virginia, and roughly 12 employees based on its website. Agency Principal Ryan Harris and the employees will join Hilb Group’s Mid-Atlantic regional operations.
