Hilb buys Connecticut agency

The Hilb Group LLC said Tuesday it has acquired Putnam, Connecticut-based Gerardi Insurance Services Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Gerardi, a commercial and personal lines agency that is headed by principals Matthew Desaulnier and Edward Desaulnier, has about 40 staff.
Hilb is the 23rd largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
