Hiscox USA names former Chubb exec chief underwriting officer for US

Lloyd’s of London insurer Hiscox Ltd. announced Tuesday it appointed Nick Sinkus, former Chubb Ltd. senior vice president for small commercial property and casualty products, as chief underwriting officer for its U.S. operations, effective May 5.

Mr. Sinkus, based in West Hartford, Connecticut, will lead all aspects of Hiscox USA’s underwriting and product development and serve on the Hiscox U.S. leadership team. He will report to Hiscox USA CEO Mary Boyd and Hiscox Group CUO Jo Musselle.

Before working for Chubb, Mr. Sinkus was CUO of Mutual of Enumclaw and held product and underwriting leadership roles with Travelers Cos. Inc.
