Hub acquires Connecticut-based agency

Hub International Ltd. announced Tuesday that it acquired Ridgefield, Connecticut-based Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services LLC.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fairfield has approximately 40 workers in offices throughout Connecticut and New York and specializes in providing commercial and personal insurance as well as employment benefits services, Hub said in its announcement.

Hub is the ninth-largest broker of business in the U.S., according to the most recent Business Insurance rankings.
