Hub acquires Vermont agency

Hub International Inc. announced Tuesday its acquisition of the Essex Junction, Vermont-based Essex Agency Inc.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Essex Agency was established in 1972 and specializes in personal and commercial insurance. The agency has 24 employees.

Hub is the ninth-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance ranking.
