Hub hires former NFP, AIG exec as North America commercial lines president

Chicago-based brokerage Hub International Inc. announced Thursday it hired former NFP Corp. executive Tim DeSett as North America commercial lines president.

The new role requires Mr. DeSett to develop the commercial lines’ strategy, drive organic growth and deliver resources to clients, Hub said in its announcement.

He was executive vice president, property & casualty at NFP.

Prior to working at NFP, Mr. DeSett was head of North America field operations and distribution for American International Group Inc.

Mr. DeSett is based in Kansas City and will report to Chris Treanor, Hub president of programs & specialties.
