Hub hires former University of Chicago risk manager

Hub International Ltd. said Thursday it has hired Courtney Davis Curtis, former University of Chicago risk management leader, as executive vice president and education practice leader.

Chicago-based Ms. Davis Curtis joined the university in 2015 as director of risk management. She was promoted to assistant vice president, risk management and resilience planning in 2020.

Prior to joining the university, she was a broker at Marsh LLC and Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

In 2021, she was president of the University Risk Management and Insurance Association and in 2022 she was named Risk Manager of the Year by the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc.

Ms. Davis Curtis was named one of the 2020 Business Insurance Women to Watch.
