Hyatt’s Jennifer Pack named Risk Manager of the Year

Jennifer Pack, vice president of risk management at Hyatt Hotels Corp., is the 2025 RIMS Risk Manager of the Year, the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. announced Tuesday.
In addition, Mark Saltsgaver, vice president, corporate risk management, at Eli Lilly and Co., was inducted into the Risk Management Honor Roll, the New York-based organization said.
The awards will be presented at Riskworld, RIMS’ annual conference.
“Jennifer Pack has transformed risk management at Hyatt, embedding a culture that has provided a launchpad for organizational success. Similarly, Mark Saltsgaver’s ability to develop impactful relationships across Eli Lilly and with external stakeholders demonstrates the undeniable value of having strong risk management leadership,” RIMS CEO Gary A. LaBranche said in a statement.
Chicago-based Ms. Pack, an auditor by training, joined Hyatt in 2007 from PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2022, she was named one of the Business Insurance Women to Watch.
Indianapolis-based Mr. Saltsgaver joined Eli Lilly from Ford Motor Co. in 1990 as a project engineer and moved into risk management in 2006.
