Hymans Robertson adds Mahad Farooqui to risk transfer team

Hymans Robertson has further strengthens its risk transfer team with the addition of Mahad Farooqui, an experienced hire who brings a wealth of experience from his time as a consultant at Aon and previously Mercer.

Farooqui’s move further bolsters the firm’s risk transfer team, who oversee the process of transferring the risk of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.

During his time at Aon and Mercer, where Farooqui specialised in risk transfer. Leveraging his extensive expertise in managing buy-in and buyout projects, the executive will utilise his knowledge and skills to drive positive outcomes for DB scheme members as they transition to the buy-out phase.

Commenting on Farooqui’s appointment, James Mullins, Partner and Head of Risk Transfer Solutions at Hymans Robetson said: “We look forward to strengthening our team with the benefit of Mahad’s experience and hearing his fresh perspectives of the risk transfer market.

Farooqui’s appointment to Hymans Robertson’s risk transfer team occurs against the backdrop of a record number of buy-ins and buyouts transacting during the first half of the current calendar year.
