hyperexponential (hx) , a provider of pricing decision intelligence software for the insurance industry, has announced a collaboration with global specialty insurance provider Markel, to accelerate pricing transformation across the US and Bermuda market.
This collaboration expands upon hyperexponential’s established relationship with Markel International. It is also part of a wider transformation initiative, aiming to modernise and scale Markel’s pricing capabilities across key lines of business within both the E&S and admitted markets.
As part of this transformation project, Markel will implement hx Renew to develop and launch advice pricing models by the end of 2025, focusing on specific primary Casualty and Professional products.
Amrit Santhirasenan, CEO and co-founder of hyperexponential, commented: “We’re excited to be working with Markel’s US and Bermuda operations to support its ambitious transformation programme in the US – a priority market for hx, and one we’ve made positive inroads into this year.
“Markel, a company we already work with in the UK, is one of the most respected names in the industry, with a clear vision for innovation and operational excellence. This project deepens that relationship, while showcasing the power of hx Renew to deliver better, faster, AI-enabled pricing decisions.”
Guenter Kryszon, Chief Underwriting Officer, US & Bermuda at Markel, added: “Our decision to work with hyperexponential is rooted in a need for flexibility, speed and alignment with our existing analytical workflows. hx Renew gives our teams the ability to design and own complex pricing models without compromise, and to adapt them quickly as conditions change. This is a foundational step forward in delivering value faster to our business and our customers.”
