IAT appoints former Travelers exec as EVP, surety

IAT Insurance Group Inc. named Mike Zurcher, formerly with Travelers Cos. Inc., as executive vice president, surety.

Mr. Zurcher, who was most recently field vice president, business insurance, Northeast region, for Travelers, succeeds Ken Chapman, who is retiring from the Raleigh, North Carolina-based insurer.

IAT Insurance provides property, casualty and surety products for niche markets.
