Ignite Specialty Risk adds Ankit Patel as US Head of Intellectual Property Underwriting

Ignite Specialty Risk, a provider of litigation risk insurance, has appointed Ankit Patel as the US Head of Intellectual Property (IP) Underwriting.

Patel has more than a decade of industry experience specialising in contingent legal risks and IP. His experience also includes a wide array of disciplines, including actuarial, underwriting, risk management, and operations.

In the role, he will leverage his technical expertise to assess legal risks, negotiate insurance agreements, supervise and advise on insured litigation matters, and support claims management, explains the firm.

Most recently, Patel led the Contingent Legal Risk Insurance team for the Americas at Liberty Mutual Corporation.

Prior to this, he served as Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Ambridge Partners LLC spearheading IP insurance solutions and providing strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions.
