IQUW Bermuda names chief underwriting officer

Specialty insurer and reinsurer IQUW Bermuda announced Friday it appointed James Mitchell, formerly with Guy Carpenter & Co., as chief underwriting officer.

Mr. Mitchell was previously managing director, global specialties and North American treaty at Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance brokerage arm of Marsh McLennan.

Before that he held senior positions across Bermuda and London at RenaissanceRe.

IQUW Bermuda recently announced plans to expand its coverage to include mortgage, credit and cyber reinsurance.
