Jack Falvey takes over as CEO of Falvey Insurance

Jack Falvey has officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of maritime risks insurer, Falvey Insurance Group, effective January 1st, 2025, following the previously announced appointment of Mike Falvey as the Executive Chairman.

Falvey joined the insurer in 2013 as a business analyst making his way to Vice President of Group Operations.

Most recently, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and throughout his tenure, has placed a strong emphasis on digital transformation, data, and innovation.

Falvey has also officially implemented further leadership changes, with the promotions of Eric Newman to Chief Risk Officer, Brody Karn to Chief Operating Officer, Brad Eldridge to Chief Growth Officer. Falvey has also hired Emmy Falvey as Senior Vice President and Head of Capacity.

In his new role, Newman will continue leading critical areas including claims, loss prevention, recoveries, and risk intelligence. He has been with Falvey for 17 years, and was most recently Executive Vice President of Claims, Loss Prevention, and Recoveries.

Karn will oversee Business Intelligence & Innovation, IT, Legal & Compliance, and Capacity, he has been with the insurer  for three years, beginning as a legal intern, and was most recently Associate Counsel.

Eldridge’s remit includes a focus on leading the production of Falvey Insurance Group. In this capacity, he will oversee Business Development, Marketing, and the Wholesale brokerage.

Falvey will be based in London, responsible for managing all market relationships, and was most recently with Westfield Specialty.
