H.W. Kaufman Group said Wednesday it has promoted Chris Zoidis to president and CEO of its Atain Insurance Cos. unit.
Mr. Zoidis, who joined Kaufman in 2007, will continue to serve as Kaufman executive vice president, guiding the company’s London strategy and its international businesses, the company said.
Mr. Zoidis replaces Wayne Bates, who served as Atain president and CEO from December 2015 to July 2022 and left the company to pursue other activities, according to a spokeswoman.
Kaufman said it has also promoted Jessalyn Suda to a new position, vice president of Atain, reporting to Mr. Zoidis. Ms. Suda, who joined Kaufman 15 years ago, will continue to lead Atain’s underwriting organization, the company said in its statement.
Atain writes niche programs and excess & surplus lines insurance, including professional liability, general liability and commercial multiperil risks.
