Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. said Monday that claims and operations leader John Kinney will leave the company effective April 5.
Mr. Kinney joined the insurer in 2003 and has led the claims and operations department since 2021 when the company split the portfolio of Bill Bloom, who resigned as the executive vice president of claims, operations, technology and data and analytics.
The Hartford said Mr. Kinney’s departure will expand the role of Chief Information Officer Deepa Soni, who joined the insurer in 2019. She will continue to report to Christopher Swift, chairman and CEO.
Steve Deane, who rejoined The Hartford last November when he succeeded Mary Nasenbenny who retired, will continue to be the Hartford’s chief claims officer but will report to Mr. Swift instead of Mr. Kinney.
A spokesperson for The Hartford did not respond to a request for comment.
