Latin Re appoints Diogo Costa as Head of Oil & Gas and Construction

Latin Re, the Brazilian independent reinsurance brokerage, has appointed Diogo Costa as the Head of Oil & Gas and Construction. This appointment aims to strengthen the broker’s market position in the Latin American market, consolidating its relevance in countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, and Ecuador.

Marjorye Hoejenbos, Managing Director, Infrastructure & Miscellaneous at Latin Re, commented on the appointment, “We have invested in deepening knowledge and technical expertise in the area because we understand that the coming years may present us with various opportunities in Brazil and Latin America.

Hoejenbos also stated that Costa’s hiring meets the growing demand in Latin America for qualified professionals.

Costa has over 20 years of experience in the reinsurance industry and joins the Infra & Misc team, bringing valuable expertise and knowledge to the position.

David Fagundes also joins the INFRA & MISC team as a senior specialist broker. Most recently, he worked in one of the largest insurance operations in Brazil. He will add to the INFRA & MISC team working with complex property placement.
