Wyoming lawmakers will consider voiding COVID-19’s effects on an employer’s workplace risk history when it comes to securing workers compensation insurance.
H.B. 59, pre-filed Thursday, would affect experience ratings, which used to calculate a workplace’s risk and accident history. It states that “no compensable injury related to COVID-19… shall be chargeable to an employer’s experience rating.”
The bill would apply to claims filed throughout 2020, 2021 and to March 31, 2023.
