Liberty Mutual hires former TransRe executive

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. on Monday named former Transatlantic Holdings Inc. executive Elizabeth Geary as president, insurance solutions, in its global risk solutions division.

Previously, New York-based Ms. Geary was president, global portfolio management, and chief underwriting officer, North America, for TransRe.

She will report to Matthew Moore, who was named president of underwriting for GRS, which includes Liberty Mutual’s mid-size to large commercial business, in April.

Her responsibilities will include building teams specializing in emerging risks, including cyber and energy transition risks, a Liberty Mutual statement said.
