Liberty Mutual names cyber executives

Liberty Mutual Insurance Group said Monday it has named Patrick Thielen, formerly senior vice president, tech E&O and cyber insurance product lead at Chubb Ltd., as global head of cyber, a newly created role.

It said also it has named Jelmer Andela, formerly portfolio manager and cyber underwriting manager for Europe and the Middle East for Liberty Specialty Markets, as head of cyber underwriting for the unit, a new position. 

Mr. Thielen will be based in Chicago and Mr. Jelmer in The Hague, Netherlands, according to a Liberty Mutual spokesman.
