Liberty Mutual names next president of GRS North America

Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. Monday named Marc Orloff as the next president of Global Risk Solutions North America, effective Jan. 1, 2025.

He will succeed Kevin Smith, who will retire at the end of this year.

Reporting to Global Risk Solutions President Neeti Bhalla Johnson, Mr. Orloff will head the unit’s commercial and specialty businesses in the U.S., Canada and Bermuda.

Mr. Orloff is currently president of Liberty Mutual’s Global Risk Solutions North America middle-market business, a position he has held since last year.

Boston-based Mr. Orloff joined Liberty Mutual from Travelers Insurance Cos. Inc. in 2011 and has held various leadership roles in underwriting and distribution for GRS North America.

Mr. Smith was named president of GRS North America in 2022, succeeding Tracy Ryan, who left the company earlier that year. He will continue in an advisory role until his departure.
