Lloyd’s hires from Beazley for chief underwriting role

Lloyd’s of London on Thursday named Rachel Turk, formerly group head of strategy and executive committee member at Beazley PLC, as chief underwriting officer.

She will report to Patrick Tiernan, Lloyd’s chief of markets.

Ms. Turk will manage the performance of the Lloyd’s market, leading underwriting, and discussions on sustainability strategies in the newly created role.

She is a board member of the Lloyd’s Market Association and the London Market Group.

Ms. Turk was among the 2022 Business Insurance Women to Watch honorees.
