Lloyd’s CEO John Neal to join Aon

John Neal, CEO of Lloyd’s of London since 2018, will join Aon PLC as global chairman of climate solutions and global CEO of reinsurance, the organizations announced Wednesday.
London-based Mr. Neal will report to Andy Marcell, CEO of risk capital for Aon, the brokerage said in a statement.
Among other things, Mr. Neal “will help lead Aon’s efforts to address the growing and complex risks associated with climate change,” the statement said.
His start date is to be determined.
Mr. Neal joined Lloyd’s after serving as group CEO of Australian insurer QBE Insurance Group Ltd. Before joining QBE, he led a management buyout of Ensign to establish a Lloyd’s managing agency.
Last year, Lloyd’s announced that Bruce Carnegie-Brown, the market’s chairman for eight years, would leave this year. Charles Roxburgh will replace him on May 1.
