Lockton names Claughton as National Manager for FI and Moens as Client Manager, Australia

Lockton, a privately held insurance brokerage, has strengthened its Professional and Executive Risk team with the appointments of Craig Claughton as National Manager – Financial Institutions (FI), based in Queensland and Dennis Moens as Client Manager, based in Sydney.

The hires align with Lockton’s strategy to invest in deep, specialist expertise and its commitment to deliver trusted, highly valued advice to clients across Australia.

Claughton will join Lockton in early July, and brings over four decades of industry experience, including 23 years at broker Marsh, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Chairman for their Financial and Professional Liability Practice (Pacific Region).

In the past, Claughton has represented some of Australia’s largest banks, listed companies and professional services firms.

In his new role, he will play a national and international role in “shaping Lockton’s approach to this strategically important sector.”

Moens will join the broker on July 7th, 2025, bringing 18 years of experience in Financial Lines across underwriting and broking. He has worked extensively with corporate and listed clients across the financial and professional services sectors.
