London-based Amiga Specialty launches with backing from B.P. Marsh

Amiga Specialty, an independent international Managing General Agent (MGA) headquartered in London, has officially launched with the goal of becoming a leading force in the global insurance MGA market, driven by strategic acquisitions and strong organic growth.

Well-capitalised and backed by investors, including publicly listed insurance investment specialist B.P. Marsh & Partners, Amiga Specialty will be led by founder Adam Kembrooke, who will serve as Managing Director.

B.P. Marsh has reportedly subscribed for a 49% shareholding in Amiga for a nominal consideration.

“To assist Amiga to achieve their plans, B.P. Marsh has provided a five-year £10m loan facility, £0.5m of which was drawn down on completion. All subsequent drawdowns are conditional upon B.P. Marsh’s approval,” B.P. Marsh said.

“This strong financial foundation positions Amiga Specialty uniquely within the competitive MGA landscape, enabling it to actively pursue its aggressive growth and acquisition strategy,” Amiga added.
