MAPFRE establishes global technology hubs in Spain, Colombia, and Brazil

MAPFRE, an international insurance company, has announced the creation of three new technology hubs as part of its broader transformation plan.

The initiative focuses on strengthening the company’s technological structure and enhancing its ability to address the needs of both businesses and customers.

Spain, Colombia, and Brazil have been selected as the locations for these hubs, based on their strategic importance to the company and their favourable conditions for technological development.

Each country offers access to strong educational institutions, established innovation ecosystems, and a workforce with advanced technical skills.

The hubs will operate under a unified model designed to promote collaboration, efficiency, and scalability across MAPFRE’s global operations. Their work will focus on key areas such as architecture, product development, data, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

By developing these centres, MAPFRE aims to strengthen its global technological capabilities, streamline the delivery of digital solutions, and improve the overall customer experience. The decentralised structure will also enable the company to respond more effectively to local market needs while maintaining a consistent global approach.

“MAPFRE is a leader in transforming its sector, and it is making a great effort to continue being a company that cares for people. That is why we want to consolidate a global technological organisation, capable of responding swiftly to the demands of the business and our customers,” said Vanessa Escrivá, Group CIO of MAPFRE.

“In this line, we seek professionals who want to be part of a transformative project, with real impact and international projection,” she further added.
