Markel appoints Jack Taylor as Executive of Distribution Strategies and Business Development for Asia Pacific

Markel, the insurance division of Markel Group Inc., has announced the appointment of Jack Taylor as Executive, Distribution Strategies and Business Development, Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Taylor will oversee broker engagement across the region.

This newly created role aligns with Markel’s strategic focus on enhancing its broker relationships in Asia Pacific while continuing to strengthen its operations, underwriting expertise, and distribution capabilities.

Working closely with Markel’s regional leaders, underwriters, and international distribution teams, Taylor will play a key role in fostering broker engagement to emphasise Markel’s specialty insurance value proposition in the Asia Pacific market.

He will also contribute to the development and implementation of innovative underwriting solutions tailored to the region.

Taylor brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Markel, having previously worked at Zurich Insurance. During his tenure, he held positions in both London and Singapore, specialising in relationship management, business development, and serving as a senior underwriter.
