Markel Group Inc. named new retail presidents in its Markel Specialty unit’s East and West divisions, among other appointments to the business.
The Richmond, Virginia-based insurer said in a statement dated last week, but issued Tuesday, that it has named Holmdel, New Jersey-based Alison Burgess as retail regional president, East. She was formerly Northeast regional president.
It also named Chicago-based Matt Huels, formerly executive underwriting officer, as retail regional president, West.
In addition, Westfield, New Jersey-based Vince Colosimo, formerly managing director, construction practice leader, was named managing executive, construction.
New York-based Tim Pasik, most recently managing director, commercial casualty product lines leader, was named wholesale regional president, Northeast.
Glen Allen, Virginia-based Mark Schauss, formerly managing director of underwriting for P&C binding authority, was named executive underwriting officer, small commercial.
