Marsh & McLennan Agency buys minority-owned brokerage

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, the middle-market subsidiary of Marsh LLC, said Tuesday it has acquired CS Insurance Strategies Inc., a Chicago-based minority-owned brokerage.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2009 by CEO Charles Smith, CS Insurance Strategies has 10 employees, who will join MMA. The agency provides employee health and benefits, business insurance and risk management consulting services to entities in various sectors, including municipalities, nonprofits and minority-owned businesses.
