Marsh names Florida risk management leader

Marsh announced Monday that it has named Fred Smith to the newly created role of Florida corporate and risk management segment leader, effective Oct. 1.

Previously, Mr. Smith, who joined Marsh in 2020, was corporate segment leader for the Greater Mid-Atlantic region.

He will move to Miami from New York and report to Megan McClellan, Southeast zone leader, Marsh said.

The move comes as Marsh has lost several members of its Florida leadership team to rival Howden.
