Marsh names former Willis exec risk management leader in Chicago

Marsh LLC said Tuesday it has recruited former Willis Towers Watson PLC executive Duncan Ashurst as risk management leader in its Chicago office.

In the newly created role, Mr. Ashurst will lead a team of specialists delivering transactional and advisory services to large and complex clients, Marsh said in a statement.

Mr. Ashurst most recently served as managing director of the risk solutions practice in Chicago at Willis, where he worked for 18 years.

Mr. Ashurst is the latest in a series of executive departures from Willis following the proposed sale of the broker to rival Aon PLC last year. That deal collapsed in July in the face of regulatory opposition.
