Marsh names sharing economy exec

Marsh LLC said Wednesday it has hired Melissa Daly, former risk manager at self-driving car startup Cruise LLC, as managing director, sharing economy, and mobility casualty leader.

She reports to Kevin Orphan, Marsh’s West Zone casualty leader, and is based in San Francisco.

Ms. Daly previously was senior director, risk, at Cruise, which is owned by General Motors Co. Prior to that she held insurance and risk management roles at Silicon Valley startups, including Vouch Insurance and rideshare company Lyft Inc.
