McGill hires partner in reinsurance from Aon

McGill and Partners on Thursday said former Aon PLC executive Peter Stubbings has joined McGill as a partner and will focus on reinsurance.

He will be based in Bermuda and report to Kate Vacher, partner and CEO of McGill and Partners Bermuda, according to an email from a spokesman.

Mr. Stubbings joins McGill from Aon, where he was CEO of Global ReSpecialty, McGill said in a statement. Prior to this, he was chairman of Guy Carpenter in Bermuda, the statement said.

Kate Vacher, partner and CEO of McGill and Partners Bermuda, said in the statement the broker plans further growth in Bermuda.

McGill and Partners was launched in 2019 and is headquartered in London with offices in Bermuda, the U.S., Ireland and Australia, according to the statement.
