McGriff appoints Kelly Ward as Producer in its Mining Practice

McGriff, a US retail insurance broker, has announced the appointment of Kelly Ward as a Producer in its Mining Practice.

In this role, she will provide insurance and risk transfer solutions to companies in the mining industry.

Ward brings nearly two decades of experience in engineering consulting for the mining sector.

She joins McGriff from Marsh, where she spent four years as Vice President and US Practice Lead for Mining, Metals, and Minerals. In this role, she collaborated with client service practice teams across all disciplines and business units through MMC to develop thought leadership, knowledge management and business analytics to the mining industry.

Before that, Ward held positions as a Client Specialist at Haley & Aldrich, a Project Engineer (Geotechnical / Mining) at URS Corporation, and as a Field Engineer at Southern Company.

Ward’s deep technical expertise and business insight will enable her to address client challenges and offer well-rounded solutions in her new role.
