McGriff hires from Marsh for commercial sales leader role

McGriff Insurance Services LLC on Monday said it has named former Marsh LLC executive Walter Viteri as a senior vice president and commercial sales leader for McGriff’s South Florida region, a newly created position.

Mr. Viteri will focus on sales development and driving growth as well as planning for future investments, a statement said. Based in Fort Lauderdale, he will report to Tom Beck, president of McGriff’s Florida region, according to an email from a spokesman.

He was most recently a senior vice president and client executive lead with Marsh, the statement said.

McGriff Insurance Services LLC is a subsidiary of Truist Insurance Holdings Inc., the sixth-largest broker of U.S. business, according to the most recent Business Insurance ranking, and a subsidiary of Truist Financial Corp., headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
