MedRisk buys casualty claims business of digital tech company Conduent

MedRisk LLC, a King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-based workers compensation managed care organization, said Wednesday it has completed the acquisition of the casualty claims business of Conduent Inc.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Conduent, which is headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, has about 59,000 employees. The company provides digital platforms and technologies for business and governmental clients.

Conduent’s casualty claims business post-merger will be known as StrataCare, according to a MedRisk news release.

MedRisk, which has about 838 employees on four continents, said the acquisition will help it expand its portfolio of care and cost management offerings in workers comp managed care.
