Meghani to succeed Sheppard as Head of Property Treaty & Retrocession, OdysseyRe London

Nisha Meghani has been appointed Head of Property Treaty & Retrocession for OdysseyRe London.

The appointment of Maghani follows the recent announcement of Matthew Sheppard’s elevation to the position of Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer at OdysseyRe’s London branch.

Meghani succeeds Sheppard in her new position, continuing the firm’s strategy of strengthening its underwriting leadership.

She will also retain her responsibilities for overseeing Cyber Liability.

Meanwhile, Scott Gibson, the firm’s Head of Marine, Aviation and Space, who has been with Odyssey since 2002, will assume responsibility for the remaining Specialty lines, including War, Terror, Political Violence and Credit/Political Risks.

As a result of the restructuring, the OdysseyRe London Branch will be composed of three teams: Property and Cyber, led by Nisha Meghani; Specialty and Marine, led by Scott Gibson; and Casualty and Motor, led by Wayne Adams.

OdysseyRe is the property and casualty reinsurance arm of Odyssey Group, a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings.
