MGA Paragon acquires sports, entertainment wholesaler

Managing general agent Paragon Insurance Holdings LLC said Wednesday its specialty media and contingency platform Reel Media Insurance Services LLC has acquired Wise Risk, a Needham, Massachusetts-based wholesale brokerage.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2020 by President Steve Perlini, Wise Risk has expertise in event cancellation, non-appearance, weather, sports disability and other specialty coverages for the sports, entertainment and live-event industries.
Wise Risk Vice President Lindsey Harris will join Reel Media along with Mr. Perlini, and both will continue in their current roles.
Paragon, formed in 2014, is a unit of Galway Holdings LP. Reel Media, based in Burbank, California, is an entertainment, film, television, sports, motorsports and leisure MGA.
