Mitchell buys managed care organization from Cigna

Mitchell | Genex |Coventry, part of Mitchell International Inc., has acquired managed care organization QualCare Alliance Networks Inc. from Cigna Corp., San Diego-based Mitchell announced Thursday.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Piscataway and Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey-based QANI had been operating as a division of Cigna, which acquired the company in 2015.

QANI will operate under the Coventry umbrella and continue to be run by President Alice Herron Lihou. Ms. Lihou will report to Coventry President Art Lynch.
