Lawmakers are considering a bill that would give licensed physical therapists the same rights as treating physicians in the workers compensation system in Montana.
S.B. 109, introduced Wednesday, would amend state law that defines a treating physician as a person who is “primarily responsible for delivery and coordination of the worker’s medical services.”
Under current law, providers such as chiropractors and physician assistants meet that designation.
