Mosaic Insurance announces key leadership changes to strengthen global market presence

Mosaic Insurance, a specialty underwriter, has announced key leadership changes to support its continued expansion.

Yosha DeLong has been promoted to Global Engagement Officer, while cyber insurance veteran Brian Bonkoski joins the firm as Global Head of Cyber.

Since Mosaic’s launch in February 2021, DeLong, based in Chicago, has been instrumental in building the company’s cyber insurance division.

Under her guidance, the cyber team has grown to 32 experts across multiple regions including the US, Canada, Bermuda, the UK, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates.

In her new position, she will lead Mosaic’s global market outreach, focusing on product growth, strengthening broker and client partnerships, and advancing sales efforts with an emphasis on leveraging Mosaic’s digital capabilities.

“Yosha’s extensive experience and deep understanding of our products and global broker relationships will be key as she leads our market engagement efforts to drive profitable growth,” commented Mosaic Co-CEO Mark Wheeler. “Her leadership in cyber has been integral to Mosaic’s success, and I’m confident she will excel in her critical new role.”

Joining Mosaic from Philadelphia, Bonkoski will assume his role as Global Head of Cyber on June 16. With 20 years of underwriting and distribution leadership, he brings experience from senior roles at Chubb and AIG, including overseeing national production and broker relations at Chubb.

Starting his career as an underwriter at AIG, Bonkoski has significant experience managing teams across the US East Coast and Mid-Atlantic.

At Mosaic, he will lead the development, distribution, and profitability of the global cyber product portfolio.

Cyber was Mosaic’s inaugural product in 2021 and has quickly become its fastest-growing line, expected to be the largest specialty offering within the next year.

The company expanded primary cyber coverage globally in 2023, following two years of excess coverage success, and pioneered inside-out underwriting through its Mosaic x SafeInside solution.

The cyber team focuses on middle-market businesses in sectors such as financial services, retail, manufacturing, and construction, offering capacity up to USD $25 million through its network of underwriting hubs.
