MS Amlin names Gately Head of Strategy, Financial Planning, and Performance

Lloyd’s global re/insurer MS Amlin has appointed John Gately as Head of Strategy, Financial Planning, and Performance.
Gately has two decades of insurance sector experience, having begun his career at KPMG. He has since held various senior roles, including six years at Bernstein Research and five years at HSBC, where he led the Global Insurance Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function.
Gately most recently worked at Hiscox, where he was Head of FP&A for the London Market business unit.
In his new role at MS Amlin, Gately will be responsible for shaping financial strategy, enhancing planning and forecasting for portfolio optimisation, and driving data-led performance management.
Based in London, he will report to Jessie Burrows, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and join the Finance Leadership Team.
