MSIG USA hires former Markel digital leader

MSIG USA, a unit of Japanese insurer Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co. Ltd., said it has hired Carla Owens as head of underwriting solutions and services.

New York-based Ms. Owens was previously chief digital officer at Markel Group Inc.

Before joining Markel in 2029, she worked in operations at QBE North America for two years and, prior to that, spent 14 years at Chubb Ltd. in various roles.
