Munich Re hires former Arch Re exec as casualty leader

Munich Reinsurance Co. Ltd. Wednesday named former Arch Re Ltd. executive Joshua Hackett as head of casualty for Munich Reinsurance America Inc., effective March 31.
He will be based in Princeton, New Jersey, and report to Marcus Winter, president and CEO of Munich Re-North America, Munich Re said in a statement.
Mr. Hackett will also serve as a member of the executive leadership team for Munich Re-North America.
He was most recently chief underwriting officer of U.S. longtail casualty and specialty lines at Arch Re.
