Neptune Flood exceeds 250,000 policies in force

Neptune Flood, a private flood insurance provider in the US, has announced that it has surpassed 250,000 policies in force, reinforcing its position in the private flood insurance market and highlighting continued adoption of its approach to flood protection.

Since launching in 2018, the company has expanded to all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and is backed by more than 30 global insurers and reinsurers. Neptune Flood offers primary and excess private flood insurance, as well as parametric earthquake coverage.

The company’s growth has been driven by its ability to provide fast, reliable coverage to homeowners and businesses nationwide.

Trevor Burgess, CEO of Neptune Flood, said, “Crossing the 250,000-policy mark is a significant moment for Neptune and for the broader private flood insurance market.

“It reflects the strength of our team, the trust of our distribution partners, and the increasing demand for alternatives to the National Flood Insurance Program. As flood risk grows, so does the need for simple, accessible, and flexible coverage, and Neptune is delivering that at scale.”

According to the company, Florida is the state with the highest total number of policies, while South Carolina leads in policies per capita.

This milestone follows Neptune Flood’s announcement last month that it will have more than $400 million in premium capacity for 2025.
