New CEO for US Assure

Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers named the president of builders risk underwriting manager US Assure the unit’s new CEO, effective Sept. 1.

Alan Ferguson will remain president after he takes over for Ty Petway, who is retiring after more than 30 years with the company.

Mr. Ferguson joined US Assure in 1993 and was named president in 2019, according to its website. Mr. Petway joined in 1992 and was named CEO in 2002.

Jacksonville, Florida-based US Assure was founded in 1977. RSUM is part of Ryan Specialty, which acquired US Assure last summer.
