New Hampshire announces another year of comp rate reductions

The New Hampshire Insurance Department announced a 6.1% reduction in average workers compensation loss costs for the upcoming year, the 14th consecutive reduction for employers.

The trend “reflects both our commitment to maintaining a healthy insurance market and the ongoing dedication of employers and employees to workplace safety,” New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner DJ Bettencourt said in a statement issued Wednesday.

All insurers writing voluntary workers compensation in New Hampshire must adopt the new loss costs, with allowances for adjustments based on their specific company expenses.
