Newfront recruits Marsh veteran

San Francisco-based brokerage Newfront Insurance on Thursday named former Marsh central zone leader John Newell as chief commercial officer.
Chicago-based Mr. Newell spent about 20 years at Marsh.
Newfront was founded as an insurtech in 2017 and merged with established brokerage ABD Financial Services Inc. in 2021. It is the 40th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
Last month, Newfront hired Tyler McAllister, a former Marsh senior vice president, as its Greater Philadelphia market leader.
