Newly appointed HDI Global UK&I CEO Stephanie Ogden announces new executive team

Industrial insurer HDI Global’s newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the UK and Ireland (UK&I) segment, Stephanie Ogden, has established a new executive team effective September 2nd, 2024.

Simon Hunt, Gemma McWilliam, and Oliver Davies have been appointed as Chief Finance Officer, UK & Ireland; Chief People Officer, UK & Ireland; and Chief Distribution Officer, UK & Ireland, respectively.

Adam Dewdney steps into the role of Chief Actuary, UK & Ireland; John McCammon as Chief Compliance Officer, UK & Ireland and Varan Selvarajah as Chief Risk Officer, UK & Ireland.

Additionally, the firm’s existing underwriting directors will join the executive team, including Adam Curran, Director of Specialty Underwriting, UK & Ireland; Antonia Osborne, Director of Commercial Underwriting, UK & Ireland; and Jade Wilcox Director of Delegated Authority Underwriting, UK & Ireland.

This reshuffle follows the announcement in June outlining the alignment of HDI’s Commercial and Specialty operations in the UK and Ireland.

The executive team comprises employees from HDI’s Commercial and Specialty operations enabling the firm to leverage best practices from across the whole organisation.

The business will finalise its executive team by appointing a new Chief Operations Officer and Chief Claims Officer, for which recruitment is underway.
