Northwestern University promotes Figora to COO

Northwestern University earlier this month named Luke Figora, who joined the school as risk manager in 2015, as chief operating officer.

Mr. Figora, who had been acting COO since June and was named vice president of operations in 2021, will continue to oversee Northwestern’s risk management program, audit, compliance and safety.

His additional responsibilities include facilities, information technology and various other administrative units at the Evanston, Illinois-based school.

Those responsibilities were previously handled by Craig Johnson, executive vice president, who left Northwestern in June.
